Dead birds

We have this huge window above the front door of the house. Birds often mistake it as open space and fly into it with their head first. I have been confronted with at least one dead bird on our doorstep every summer.

you should put a no landing sign there:) hey but do you remember the write up in the Vivek Paranjape books that we had.. it talked about birds committing suicide by flying directly into burning fires.. may be thats the case..
Posted by: sujit at September 13, 2004 10:26 AMIts not that the birds do not see their reflection, they do and they think its a nother bird approaching them and hence attack more fiercely. Deaths by dashing into glass cause almost a billion bird deaths every fall/spring, the migratory season for birds!!

Posted by: anya at September 13, 2004 01:22 PMThe design idea is good. Parag as you have put wall paper at various locations in you house you get similar glass design papers that might go with your decor. Also think about a venetian blind or a curtain that you can open when you need light and close otherwise. Check out a website of smith+noble. They are good for blinds and curtains.
