The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time
I have been reading The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. This is Mark Haddon's first novel and it turned out to be an excellent one. It is a wonderful story written as a first-person account by an autistic young man, Christopher. I don't want to give away the story but, it reads like a blog. It has a lot of interesting facts, illustrations and puzzles. It is a fun read. Very different.

Posted by: Parag at May 24, 2005 05:04 PMevery time i hear this title, i get reminded of the Sherlock Holmes classic "Silver Blaze", where at one point, the conversation goes as follows:
Inspector Gregory: Is there any point to which you would wish to draw my attention?
Holmes: To the curious incident of the dog in the nighttime.
Gregory: The dog did nothing in the nighttime.
"That was the curious incident," remarked Sherlock Holmes.
Aditya: The main character in the book is a big fan of Sherlock Holmes. Maybe, that is why this title was chosen for the book. I like to read those 52 short stories and 4 novels over and over and over too.
