Evening sky...

It was a beautiful evening sky today. Venus, Moon and Jupiter came together close to create this spectacular view. If you missed it, try again on Wednesday evening. The configuration will be different but, they will still be pretty close to each other.

The sky was clear except for the southwest sky where these interesting objects were. I managed to get a couple of nice photos even with the clouds.

The objects in the photo are (clockwise starting from the Moon): Moon with earthshine, Spica (Chitra), Venus and Jupiter.

This is your blog and you may run it as you care. But I do find it extraordinarily odd that a "repository" of--in part---thoughts, given our country's greatest natural disaster in history and the attendant humanitarian issues still unfolding and directly impacting the nation's health, economy, psyche, logistics and politics, regards the most important commentary to share at this time to concern a trivial photograph. That this would be sustenance for any remotely sophisticated blog audience at this time is a notion that escapes me.

Nothwithstanding the limited data points that I have with regard to the substance of this blog and blogger, I now view this coupled with other notably truncated analysis of current events --particularly as it concerns class and race-- has me fearing that you are that stereotypical misguided Indian white-boy-wanna-be who is disconnected from a cultural, socio-economic and political reality directly relevant to any freedom and wellbeing he currently enjoys in the U.S. that even permits the option to intellectually dine, in this time of tumult, on so trivial fare as photography. Fare thee all well.

Price: Thanks for your comments. There is so much coverage of Katrina disaster on all types of media, I didn't think posting about it on my webpage would make any difference. It doesn't matter what you think of me but, just to state some facts: This webpage is just a small part of my life. I don't write all my thoughts and list everything that I do here. That would take too much time out of my busy life.

I can't believe the things Mr.Price had to say. Anyways, I loved the first pic...awesome light.

Patrix: Thanks! I hope you got to see that beautiful sight in the sky.

I think, from the language use, Mr. Price is a lawyer or a law student. Also, he had left a comment on an earlier post about lawyers.
