Angry or Calm?

Another wonderful optical illusion.

If you watch the above images from your seat in front of the computer, Mr.Angry is on the left, and Mrs.Calm is on the right.

Get up from your seat, and move back 12 feet, and PRESTO! They switch places!

This illusion was created by Phillippe G. Schyns and Aude Oliva of the Univ. of Glasgow.

This proves that we may not be seeing what's actually there, all the time!

Optical illusion

This is one of the best optical illusions I have ever seen.

If you look at the movement, you see only pink dots.

Stare at the "+" sign in the center and you see a moving green dot.

Continue staring at the "+" sign in the center and slowly the pink dots disappear.

Wonder how the brain makes up something that is not there.

Coool goooogle

Google at its best ever... Google Earth is ADDICTIVE. Adjusting tilt is just a little too much. It feels like playing a video game with an unlimited terrain.

SuDoku

Check out these cool new puzzles, called SuDoku. The idea is to fill the grid so that every column, every row and every 3x3 box contains the digits 1 to 9.

This one is quite easy. Here is one, that is a little more difficult. Some links that have a lot of these puzzles...

Daily SuDoku
SuDoku at Times
SuDoku at The Hindu
SuDoku Fun
SuDoku Master

Find many more SuDOku sites through Google.

Optical Illusion

Here is one of the coolest optical illusions that I have ever seen. It comes from Dr. Edward Adleson of MIT. There are more illusions on his website.

The squares named 'A' and 'B' are of the same color. Click on the link below to see an explanation.

The grey bars in the picture are of the same color. It is obvious from the places where the bars overlap with the squares 'A' and 'B', that the squares and the bars are of the identical shade of grey. If you still don't believe this, download the image, open it with your favorite image processing software and check the values for the color properties that the software shows. They are the same: '120, 120, 120'.
