Superbowl XL
Today, Detroit hosts the biggest football game of the season. Pittsburgh Steelers battle Seattle Seahawks for the Vince Lombardy trophy. I support the Steelers. They have a stronger team and they should win.
After this last game, there is no football till August, will have to suffer through the drudgery of baseball.
Anyway, GO STEELERS!!!

Rose Bowl
Texas is the NCAA college football champion. Vince Young is a cool cat. It was a nice two-minute drill in the last 2 minutes that won the game for Texas. Leinert, Bush and company finally lost to Texas, 41-38. It was a great game to watch. Both the sides played their hearts out. Unfortunately, this is the end of college football season. Now, we'll have to wait 8 months till August to get all the excitement again.
All my bowl picks won their games except Rutgers which lost to Arizona State.
Matthew McConaughey is a f**king moron. I didn't care about his movies, but, it was just disgusting to see him do his stupidity on the field before the Texas - USC game in Rose Bowl. Ugh! In contrast, Lance Armstrong showed his support to the 'Horns in a dignified way.

Orange Bowl
It was a good game to watch last night between Penn State and Florida State. Penn State won 26-23 in what turned out to be a battle of defensive teams and missed field goals. Over the years, Bobby Bowden has had his share of kickers that missed critical field goals nleading to a loss. Last night was another repeat of that. The only difference was that the Penn State kicker, a freshman was doing badly as well. Finally, he put one in to win the game. I just love the games that go into overtime.
The combined age of the two head coaches was 155 years. With Joe Pa at young 79 and Bobby Bowden at 76, these are the top two winningest coaches in NCAA football. They coached against each other for the first time after a gap 15 years. Paterno is now 7-1 against Bowden. They both appeared for a short interview at the end of the game and didn't want to take any questions about retirement. The best quote was from Joe Paterno. He said this to Bobby Bowden as the game finally ended at 1 am, "I told him we're too old for this. It's almost past my bedtime."
Can't wait to watch Texas and USC in the Rose Bowl tonight. It is going to be a great offensive battle in contrast to Orange Bowl. Both the teams have very good offenses led by Texas' QB Vince Young and USC's RB Reggie Bush, this year's Heisman Trophy winner. I am rooting for the 'Horns. Can't have USC win three in a row.

Bowl Schedule
This season's college football Bowl schedule was announced yesterday. For a change, there is not much controversy this year about who should be in a BCS bowl and if there will be a real National Champion. The only two unbeaten teams, USC and Texas will play in the Rose Bowl on Jan 4th to decide the champion.
My boss and I were kidding about Nebraska playing Michigan in a bowl game because they have similar winning records this year. It turned out to be true. They will be playing in the Alamo Bowl on Dec 28th.
Other interesting matchup will be Florida State and Penn State in Orange Bowl on Jan 3rd. Two legendary football coaches, Bobby Bowden and Joe Paterno will face each other in this rare matchup that will be fun to watch.
After being one of the worst college football teams for years, Rutgers had a winning season and they became bowl eligible. They will play Arizona State in Insight Bowl on Dec 27th. Big 'yaay' for Rutgers. Hope they win.
So, my picks are: Texas, Nebraska, Penn State and Rutgers.
The first ever college football game was played between Rutgers and Pricenton back in the 19th century. Don't remember the date.

NCAA Football week #6
It was such an interesting game with lots of ups and downs. I wish I was able to watch it live. Nebraska lost to Texas Tech by just 3 points 34-31. The score at halftime was 21-0 Texas Tech. Nebaska came back in the second half and were leading 31-27 till the last minute. Texas Tech converted two 4th and 1 plays within Nebraska 20 yard line, scored a touchdown to win the game. Nebraska definitely deserved to lose after such terrible defensive performance in the last minute of the game, when it counts. But, I am glad Nebraska put up a tough fight. This team has a future. Huskers travel to Baylor next week. This should be an easy game to win.
Texas-Oklahoma showdown was a big letdown. Texas easily beat the Sooners 45-12. They looked unstoppable. Next week it is time for Colorado to come to Austin and get beaten up.
In the big10, Michigan lost the Brown Jug to Minnesota at home. Quite disgraceful. Ohio State lost in the Happy Valley to the Nittany Lions of Penn State. Joe Paterno is basking in the 6-0 record for the season, the only unbeaten team in Big10. He is in his 70's and was jumping up and down in the pre-game pep rally. He is just an amazing coach. Northwestern beat Wisconsin in an upset. My favorite Big10 team MSU had the week off.
No other big upsets in the rest of top 25 teams.

NCAA Football week #5
Both Nebraska and Texas were off last week and I was away on vacation, hence skipped week #4.
Yesterday, Nebraska won in overtime against Iowa State in a nail-bitting finish. I was following the game on the internet and was nice to see both offense and defense coming out to play. Bill Calahan's passing offense is finding its place in Nebraska. If this continues, the Huskers should be back in top 25 by next year. Next week, Red Raiders of Texas Tech come knocking. Hope that Huskers will be able to stand their ground and win another home game.
Texas easily beat Missouri and are itching to welcome Oklahoma to Austin next week. A win against Sooners will definitely justify their #2 ranking. Eventhough, OU is unranked and not doing so great this year, they possess a certain upset potential. Longhorn QB Vince Young looks good. Hope he stays through his senior year next season and not leave for NFL.
Michigan won against Michigan State in overtime. It was a good lift for Wolverines after two miserable losses against Notre Dame and Wisconsin. I was sorry to see MSU lose. They are my Big10 team for this year. MSU offense looked so good but, wasn't enough to win the game in the end.
Rutgers beat Pittsburgh on a Friday night game. Rutgers must be the most improved team in the last few years. When I was at Rutgers from 97-99, they were always ranked almost at the bottom of NCAA-divIA teams. They looked very sharp againast Pittsburgh and have lost only one game against Illinois and that too very narrowly.
Florida lost to Alabama in a big upset, 31-3. USC and Arizona State game was very tight, but, in the end, USC offense came out on top. Reggie Bush must be the best running back in NCAA currently. It is just a pleasure to watch him run. #18 ranked Minnesota lost to unranked Penn State and the Nitanny Lions are back in top 25 after the weekend's polls.

NCAA Football week #3
What a boring game!!! Nebraska eeked out a win against Pitt. Final score 7:6. I am glad that I wasn't watching. They have the next week off and then the first conference matchup against Iowa State. Ever since I have been following Nebraska football, this year is the first time when Nebraska will be underdogs against #24 ranked Iowa State that pulled an upset win against Iowa last week.
Texas easily beat up Rice and TAMU just kept scoring and scoring against SMU. Longhorns will take the next week off too and then play Missouri. Should be an eventless win for Texas.
Michigan took out its frustrations from last week on poor EMU at home. It was expected after that embarassing loss against Notre Dame last week. Finally, Michigan State came through and beat Notre Dame in overtime this week. That was nice. It should stop all the Notre Dame media hype that was going on for the last week or two. This game should have gotten over in regulation with the same result but, MSU made some really bad mistakes. I love MSU. I am going to be a Spartan fan for at least the rest of this season.
Got to watch part of USC game and it is very clear why they are ranked #1. The offense is just unbelievable. They will easily beat many of the NFL teams.
September 11, 2005
NCAA Football week #2
Nebraska defense won another game. They beat Wake Forest easily 31:3. The offense is still sputtering. Hope they get their act together. After two easy weeks, next Saturday, they will face a challenge from Pittsburgh, who lost to Ohio today. Interestingly, former coach of Nebraska, Frank Solich is the new head coach at Ohio.
Texas won against Ohio State in Columbus, OH and fully justified their #2 ranking. QB Vince Young looked good. Next week Longhorns get a breather against Rice.
Michgan was upset by Notre Dame. This game along with Ohio State's loss is going to change the rankings a lot. Another big unexpected upset was Iowa State beating Iowa 23:3.
Steve Spurrier is back to coaching a college team after dismal 2-3 years with Washington Redskins. Now Steve coaches the Gamecocks of South Carolina, taking over Lou Holtz's place. They lost to Georgia today.
September 03, 2005
2005 NCAA football week 1
College football season started with a bang before I even thought about it.
Nebraska won the first game as expected. If they had lost to Maine, it would have been a really really bad. Wake Forest comes to Lincoln next week. It should be an easy game.
Texas won big time against Loiusiana at Lafayette by the score of 60:3. Again as expected. They are ranked #2. Hope they survive their meeting with Ohio State next week.
Big upsets of the week: Oklahoma lost to TCU. Yay! Maybe they lost all the goo players in the graduating class last year. Pittsburgh lost to Notre Dame. Argh! As I type this, looks like unranked Georgia Tech is going to beat #17 Auburn.
I am so happy that football season has begun. Now, 4 months will go so fast with busy weekends.
December 07, 2004
BCS bowl games
The final schedule for BCS bowls is out. Texas will play Michigan in the Rose Bowl. Texas got ranked higher in BCS rankings in the last week over California. It seems that coach Mac Brown did a lot of lobbying with voters to get more votes for Texas giving them the edge over Cal. We'll be rooting for the Longhorns, but don't know if we'll get to watch any of the games in India.
November 29, 2004
NCAA Football 2004 week #13
Last week of regular season college football brought on more heartache for Nebraska. They got beat by Colorado. I was hoping for a win. But, this loss translates into first losing season after 43 years and breaking the longest running bowl game streak in the country. Nebrska played in a bowl game for 35 years consecutively. They will sit at home and watch others play around New Year's time. This is absolutely the bottom. The only good thing about it is that the only way from here is up. Hopefully, Bill Callahan will get the team in better game shape next year with his west coast offense and we'll at least have a winning season next year.
Texas beat Texas A&M but, they will most likely be left out of the BCS bowls. The chances of Cal losing to Southern Miss are close to nil.
There were no big surprises during this last week. USC and Oklahoma kept their 1 and 2 BCS rankings and that will make them eligible to play for the championship unless Oklahoma loses in the Big12 championship game to Colorado. That is quite unlikely. Auburn got left out of the National Championship game eventhough they played better football caompared to Oklahoma and had an unbeaten season.
Michigan will play in the Rose Bowl. All of the bowl schedule will come out soon. All the best to the teams playing in bowl games. This is the first time that College football season is over for me in November.
November 23, 2004
NCAA Football 2004 week #12
Nebraska and Texas were both resting on Saturday to prepare for their respective matchups against Colorado and Texas A&M on Friday after Thanksgiving.
Looks like hopes are fading for Texas to get into one of the BCS bowl games. They get in only if California loses to Southern Miss which is not very likely. Mayuresh explained the 'at-large' births in BCS, etc in a comment to my last football post. Check it out if interested.
One of the biggest matches last week was Florida at Florida State. Gators beat the Seminoles on their home field for the first time and ironically, this was the last game for Ron Zook as the coach of Florida Gators because he was fired earlier in the year.
Wisconsin lost second game in a row after being unbeaten for the first 9 games. That puts Michigan in the slot for Rose Bowl as Big10 champions even after losing their last game against Ohio State. I thought Michigan would win that game easily but, I was wrong.
Steve Spurrier accepted the head coach position at South Carolina after Lou Holtz retired from there. He will be coaching the Game Cocks for the next 7 years.
Notre Dame faces USC next Saturday. I hope they get their butt kicked really bad. :)
November 15, 2004
NCAA Football 2004 week #11
Huskers lost to Oklahoma as expected. They lost second game in a row. I don't think that happens very often. Hopefully, they will win the last game with Colorado and end with a winning season. That will also put them on top of Big12 north division (if Iowa State loses to Kansas State, which is highly likely) and get a chance to get beat by Oklahoma again in the Big12 championship game.
Texas almost lost to Kansas. V stopeed watching when Kansas was leading by 10 points in the fourth quarter, but, they came back to score two touchdowns and win the game in the end 27-23. Longhorns will play Texas A&M aggies on the day after Thanksgiving. They have to win this game to get a berth in one of the three BCS bowl games.
Pittsburgh beat Notre Dame by a field goal. Yeaaaaay!!!!
Auburn beat Georgia and made a strong case for a ranking higher than the struggling Oklahoma.
Michigan State kicked Wisconsin's tail (49-14) in a huge upset to bring down a team that was ranked #4 in the country. Michigan had a easy win over Northwestern.
In other minor upsets (loss for higher ranked team), West Virginia was beaten by Boston College and Miami beat Virginia.
Some coaching news: Joe Paterno may stay on for another year at Penn State after they beat indiana. Steve Spurrier is looking for a job. He is not going back to Florida after Ron Zook got fired. And, he would like to stay in warmer south. So, there is no chance of him getting the Penn State job in another year.
Just one more week of regular season games and the Bowl games. The season is coming to an end. :(
November 08, 2004
NCAA Football 2004 week #10
Was a tough week. Nebraska lost to Iowa State. I was expecting an easy win before they get gored by Oklahoma. Now, Oklahoma game gets more interesting. Hopefully, huskers are all ready to come back after that embarassing loss. Oklahoma is not playing that well. They have been very lucky last couple of weeks and won very close games. If they don't get a huge lead in the first half, it could be an interesting game.
Texas continued their march by beating Oklahoma State. They are ranked #6 in the BCS now. So, if they don't lose their remaining two games, they have a sure BCS bowl birth. Auburn is playing Georgia next week. One of the top 5 slots is going to open up.
Tennessee lost to Notre Dame in a big upset. The whole state of Tennessee must be hanging their collective head in shame. It couldn't get any worse than this. They have two easy games to finish off the season. Hopefully, they won't lose to Vanderbilt.
Purdue continued on its losing streak. They won the first 5 games but, have lost the next 4. At the end of week 5, they were ranked in top 10. It is almost like two different teams were playing two halves of the season.
Miami hurricanes lost second game in a row. This time they lost to Clemson in a close OT game.
Florida State coach Bobby Bowden turned 75 today and is still going strong. They may win the ACC championship.
Can't believe NCAA football season is coming close to finish. Only two more regular season games left. :(
October 31, 2004
NCAA Football 2004 week #9
It was an interesting Saturday. Lots of action. Thankfully, I got to watch a lot of it.
Nebraska beat Missouri 24-3. The famous Blackshirts defense showed up finally. Missouri couldn't score more than one field goal. It was a good game to watch. The west coast offense is slowly taking roots in Lincoln. I'll give them another year or two to get good at it. They had 10th anniversary celebration for the 1994 championship. Got to see a lot of familiar faces: Tom Osborne, Tommy Frasier. Those two years, '94 and '95 when the Huskers won the championship back-to-back, they were just an amazing team. No other team could even think of beating them. Next week, Huskers visit Iowa State in Ames, IA. It should be an easy win for Nebraska.
Texas easily beat Colorado 31-7. Didn't get to watch the game; not even highlights.
Some big highly ranked teams lost and other few almost lost but, recovered in the end. #5 Florida State was beaten by unranked Maryland. Must have been a big shock to Bobby Bowden. North Carolina won against #3 Miami with a last second 40-yard field goal by a freshman kicker. This was the first time ever that they beat a team ranked in top 5. #16 Texas A&M lost to Baylor. I didn't think Baylor could beat any team. This was a big surprise. Purdue lost another game (3rd in a row) after being ranked in top 10 just a couple of weeks ago. This time Northwestern beat them by a field goal.
The biggest averted upset was that of Oklahoma. They barely managed to win against Oklahoma State. 38-35. It would have gone to overtime, but OKState kicker missed a field goal in the last seconds of the game. Michigan State almost beat Michigan too. That game went to 3 overtimes before Michigan won it 45-37. Michigan was behind 27-10 when 6 minutes were left in the game but, came back to finally win it.
Overall, it was an exciting day for College football. Hope to see more this in the coming weeks.
October 25, 2004
NCAA Football 2004 week #8
Took a break in writing the update last weekend as I was busy and didn't get to watch any football. Last weekend, I was in front of the TV again.
Nebraska lost to Kansas State as expected. Thankfully, it wasn't a complete blowout. The next game is against Missouri. Last year, the Huskers lost against them. I don't have my hopes too high. They are definitely going to lose against Oklahoma in coming weeks. I would be very happy if they win all the other games, but, Missouri and Colorado seem to be tough opponents to this weak Husker team.
Texas made it past Texas Tech. Last year, TT scuttled the Longhorns' hope of getting into a BCS bowl. This year Texas is poised to be in the top 6 BCS rankings at the end. Hope they win against Texas A&M at the end of the season. They play Colorado next week. It should be a one-sided game with Texas winning with a huge margin.
There were no big upsets this weekend. Most of the ranked teams won their respective games. Michigan(#13) beat Purdue(#12) by 2 points. #20 Florida lost to Mississippi State. That was a shocker. Florida hasn't been the same since the departure of Steve Spurrier. Not that I liked him very much, but, he was doing a good job at Florida. Now, after getting fired as the headcoach of Redskins, don't know if he'll coach again. Also, Notre Dame (#24) lost to Boston College. Yipee! Another losing season and they will fire Ty Willingham. Hopefully, he will go to a better school. He is totally wasted at ND.
Watched Miami playing NCstate on ESPN. The NCstate kickoff was returned by Devin Hester for 100 yards and scored a touchdown on the first play of the game. That was fun to watch.
USC shutout Washington 38-0. It is time for Rick Neuheisel to get his ass fired.
Iowa beat Penn State 6-4. Pathetic!!! Penn State scored only on two safeties. That is just ridiculous. The final score of the first game in the baseball world series was higher than that.
October 10, 2004
NCAA Football 2004 week #6
Horrible weekend of College Football. Nebraska lost miserably in a blowout against Texas Tech. Till halftime, it looked like it would be a respectable loss, but, then all hell broke loose. It was bad. I couldn't watch it. Nebraska's fabled defense was nowhere to be seen and offense couldn't do anything either. Texas Tech won 70-10. Probably their first ever win against Nebraska.
Texas was shutout by Oklahoma (12-0). It was a totally defense-dominated game. Sooners could score only 2 field goals and 1 touchdown with a missed 2 point conversion(Thanks for the correction, Aditya!). Good that I didn't get to watch such a boring game.
Another top5 team tumbled. Georgia lost to Tennessee. Good news for Auburn as they move up by two spots in the rankings.
Michigan barely made it past Minnesota by a field goal. Ohio State lost another game this season, to Wisconsin. Yay! Purdue is still unbeaten. LSU beat Florida to get back some respect after getting kicked by Georgia last week.
On another note; just caught some NFL highlights during the half-time of Lions/Falcons game. Good-for-nothing over-rated Tampa Bay QB Chris Simms got sacked badly and injured the shoulder of his throwing arm. Now, he can sit through the rest of the season and get free money.

ABC Sports
I wonder about the intelligence of program director at ABC Sports. They are showing Michigan State playing Illinois, when they could show Texas vs. Oklahoma game. I know Michigan State is local team here, but can't they make an exception when teams ranked #2 and #5 are playing against each other which could result in a big upset????
October 04, 2004
NCAA Football 2004 week #5
Very exciting week in NCAA football. Lots of upsets.
First of all, Nebraska beat Kansas. It was a boring game. At one point I thought that Kansas was going to win (they were leading 5-0) but, Nebraska came through with a win (14-8). Next week they play Texas Tech. It wil be a tough game after their loss to Oklahoma last Saturday.
#5 Texas easily beat Baylor but, they face the biggest challenge of the season, #2 Oklahoma next week. It will be a good game to watch. This year Big12 is not strong as a conferencen overall. Only 3 teams (2, 5, 25) are ranked in top 25. None from the North division. Hopefully, it will change as the season moves along.
Michigan beat Indiana as expected. Pitt lost to Connecticut. Didn't follow the game or saw any highlights on Sportscenter. Aditya, you may want to mention something about it.
There were a lot of upsets. Purdue beat the crap out of Notre Dame. It was sweeeeet. Ohio State lost to Northwestern in overtime. Yippeee!!! Georgia beat LSU and Auburn not just beat but crushed Tennessee. Georgia is ranked #3 now. They play Tennessee next week. That will be an exciting game to watch. Tennessee is all pumped up from their loss, they would love to win against a team that is ranked higher than them.
There are lots of good exciting games slated for the next week as I mentioned above. Looking forward to it.

NCAA Football 2004 week #4
Nebraska had the week off. I played cricket whole afternoon, so, couldn't catch any games on TV. Next week, will be a home game against Kansas. I remember going to a Nebraska home game against Kansas in 2000. That was fun. I got to sit in a sky-box. I think Nebraska is one of the few schools that doesn't allow alcohol in the stadium.
Texas played Rice. It wasn't the one-sided game that I expected it to be. Rice defense restricted Texas to scoring only 35 points. Texas will play Baylor next week, which will be another blowout game.
There were no upsets. All ranked teams won their games. Nothing really exciting happened. #1 USC barely squeezed past Stanford just by a field goal. They completely shut down Stanford in the secong half. If Stanford could have kept up what they did in the first half, this would have been the upset of the week.
Michigan won against Iowa and Notre Dame keeps winning. They beat Washington yesterday. Penn State was shocked by injuries to their top 2 quarterbacks. Zack Mills injured his shoulder and Michael Robinson suffered a concusion when he was hit while getting sacked. It looked really bad. He went down and couldn't get up. They had to get an ambulance on the field to take him away to a hospital. Fortunately, it didn't turn out to be anything serious.
September 19, 2004
NCAA Football 2004 week #3
Another nail-biting Saturday. Nebraska won at Pitt as expected. Nebraska defense dominated the hapless offense of Pitt. But, still there were some moments that could have turned the game around. I was surprised that this game was on ABC here in Michigan while the Michigan game was on ESPN. Nebraska has next week off and they will host Kansas on Oct. 2nd.
Texas had the week off. They will play Rice next week which would be a completely one-sided game.
Michigan barely won over unranked San Diego State. They don't look good at all. Notre Dame beat the other big Michigan team, Michigan State. It looks like Tyrone Wilingham is bringing great changes to Notre Dame. They are doing well after sucking for years.
Two big games were decided by place kickers. LSU lost to Auburn by one point. That point was the missed PAT attempt by their kicker Ryan Gaudet. I am sure he received kicks from everyone on the team. Place kicker James Wilhoit of Tennessee missed a PAT attempt with just a couple of minutes left on the clock and they were trailing by one point against Florida. Everyone including me thought that the game was over. But, the Vols got the ball back and Willhoit made a 50 yard field goal in the dying seconds of the game to win it. Tennessee got awarded one of the touchdowns that was short, but that is a different story. Little advantage that all teams get at home. It was a day of place kickers winning and losing games.
September 12, 2004
NCAA Football 2004 week#2
This week has been interesting. A lot of teams that expected to win came out with a loss. I don't put Huskers in that category. They lost to Southern Miss 21-17, that too at home in Lincoln. They usually win all the games with non-conference teams. They played horribly. The defence wasn't working well. But, they are working at it. This is a team-building year. There are a lot of new players and a new coaching staff. I would be happy if they have more wins than losses in the end. Next week, they play at Pittsburgh. Without Larry Fitzgerald, I don't know how well they are doing this year. It should be an easy win for Nebraska but considering how they played yesterday, I won't be surprised if they lose.
Texas eked out a win over Arkansas. That would have been a big upset. Nex week, they play at home against Rice.
Another team that barely won was Ohio State. Marshall put up a big fight and finally lost of a field goal. 24-21.
Two big upsets for ranked teams. #8 Michigan losing to Notre Dame. This was really bad. I was supporting Michigan and it was painful to see the score. #13 Kansas State lost to Fresno State big time. 45-21. This was no last-minute lucky win. Fresno State just pounded Kansas State just like they did in last week's game against Washington. This is one unranked team that should be watched this year. Hope they continue with this streak and do well. But, they belong to WAC and won't face many challenging teams later in the season and won't get too high in the ranking because of the weakness of their schedule.

Preseason Top 25
Preseason rankings for NCAA College Football are out. Nebraska is out of top 25. They have a long battle to fight with a new coach and a lot of new players this year. Considering this will be a team building year, I don't have very high expectations for the Huskers, but, at least they will end the season with a spot in top 25.
College Football starts on Aug 28th. Eagerly looking forward to it.

Hail to Organised Savagery
Another sign of Summer slipping away. Tonight is the first Preseason NFL game: Redskins playing Broncos. It is awfully early start of the Football season, but, I ain't complaining. Less than one month to College Football. Yaaay!!!
Every year, we sit around on Summer weekends counting down days till the start of Football. But, this year Ashwini has kept us busy and didn't even once have to think about what to do on a Saturday or a Sunday afternoon.

NFL wildcard games
My team (Green Bay Packers), as well as V's team (Indianapolis Colts) were fighting to get into the second round of playoffs.Seattle gave a tough fight to the Packers and the game had to go into overtime (33-27) eventhough it was 20F (windchill 7F) and snowing at Lambeau field. The colder conditions usually give an advantage to Green Bay.
The Colts won easily against Denver Broncos (41-10). Broncos just crumbled against the offensive power of Payton Manning, Edgerin James, and Marvin Harrison. Manning had one of his best days ever. This was his first win in the playoffs. A great accomplishment.
Both the teams meet formidable opponents next week. Packers lock horns with Eagles and Colts meet KC Chiefs. Hopefully, both the teams will advance to the Conference championship games.
It will be great to see Packers play Colts in the Superbowl, but, I am not holding my breath for it.
(Joint)National Champion LSU
LSU Wins Sugar Bowl and National Championship
It was a good game to watch. LSU dominated it most of the times. Nick Saban's defense was absolutely great. I should have been supporting fellow Big12 team, but I was glad to see cocky Bob Stoops' Oklahoma lose the game.
