Two weeks after GM diet

October 31st, 2006

It has been two weeks since we did the GM diet. I lost 7 pounds during those 7 days of GM diet. Even after returning to my gluttonous lifestyle for two weeks, those 7 pounds haven’t come back. Excellent, eh!? Should do this week-long diet again sometime in the next few months.

    Succesfully on my 2nd day…cheated a bit yesterday…..added sweetener to my Black Tea yesterday…guess that doesnt count ;) ……

    Hi Raj,

    Good to know that u started same day as I. hmm. i need to confess that i cheated yesterday more than u did. i had one paratha. But frm today ia m gonna strictly follw.

    I had the wonder soup in the morning and some cucumber and carrots as my breakfast. I will have some cooked mixed vegetables for my lunch and some soup. and planning to have carrots and cucumber some time around 3 or 4.

    2nd day is good so far with Squash and Potato in the morning and cooked beans for lunch….Also grazing on Baby Carrots throughout the day
    And on the cheating front – a fistful of cereals @ lunch is what I have as of now….

    Good.. looks like we are on track (with few cheatings).I hope i will not cheat when i go home.. Wat are you planning to have for tomorrow.

    Hey Raj and Swapna,
    I had started on the same day as you folks, on 9th Feb and finishing my 4th day today! How’s it going with you guys?

    In terms of cheating, I havent consciously deviated from the diet plan but had a banana along with other fruits on Day 1 and later came to know we’re not supposed to include banana on Day 1.

    I feel nothing different yet in terms fo weight, though I havent yet checked after Day 1. I hope to go all the way until Day 7 and check the results.

    I started on 9th too. :) It’s day 5 with my GM vegetarian diet and I have not cheated yet at all. I may be tempted to today as I am having an awful time eating the brown rice that too without salt…it tastes worse than the boiled beet root or the raw cabbage. Can someone suggest a substitue for brown rice? I really really want to do it. :(

    Hi Guys,

    I had to break the diet on 3rd itself as wehad to go to dinner at friends place :( . I discontinued it after that day.

    I am seriously thinking about losing 20 pounds in the next 2 months.
    I am planning to start again seriously on 22nd. Please let me know if any of you are starting again.

    I am starting the diet plan tomorrow. Planning to eat water melon, apples, grapes and pomegranate tomorrow. Is grapes allowed for day 1?
    I saw that the diet recommends baked potato on second day. How do you make baked potato? I do not have a microwave oven. Please advise.

    Hi, Saravanan.. I started on 2nd did some cheating could not resist :P . Today I am starting again and I am determined to follow it my target is 10 Kgs in 2 months time with repetations of this diet. When r u starting? any 1 got good results?.. please share ..

    I started the diet today.. i dunno how much i lose but would b gud if i lose wats stated by the plan…
    i read sum ppl gaining weight on the 8th day itself…??? can you guys update me wid ur results???

    hey jay..
    I did cheat a lil cud not take it , as in i took lil soup on da 1st day.. second day i took 1 small cracker (biscuit)..
    But its tough, i dunt like the food and if i dunt lose weit after 7days…i wd be very dissapointed :(

    Hey Mimi,
    how is it going? did u finally lose weight?
    I’m not my 5th day today. cheated a l’il bit here n there.
    yeah…its very tough & no carbs is messing with my head!
    I dont think i’m losing any weight…so very disappointed :(
    Just lost 0.5 kgs by end of day4.
    This is my 4th attempt to GM diet with hardly any results. clearly its not for me. but want to somehow stick it out till day7.

    hey jay,
    i dunno y it doesnot work for u, do u drink enuff water koz thats the key… Tomorrow is ma last day.. and yesterday i was about 2 -3 kgs less.. i can see the difference in me so thats ok.. but i think i will repeat the diet over and over again to lose more ofcorse wid breaks…

    but did feel healthy now.. skin is glowin2
    so was a Sick feeling but in de end it was worth it.. i would check my final weight after tomorrow.. again..

    Drink water it realy helps.

    I started the diet today. Its kind of difficult. I keep craving for chai or something to munch. Lets see whats my weight tomorrow.
