New look for parablog.com

Upgraded to the latest WordPress version 2.5 using WordPress Automatic Upgrade plugin. Upgraded the template to a simpler design based on a popular Hemingway theme. This is an older design and doesn’t use WordPress widgets. One problem I see immediately is increased spam. If it gets out of control, I’ll just switch back to the old design. Meanwhile, please provide some feedback about this design.

Hi Parag, the new theme makes your blog look beautiful. The increased spam has nothing to do with the new layout, so I wouldn’t worry about it; if you have Akismet, that should be good enough. You can, in addition, make every new comment go through a moderation queue—it’s a little extra work, but if you don’t get over 100 comments a day, then, it’s probably okay.
Blog is looks very good.
New design is good but not good as old one.
Chetan: When I upgraded to WP2.5, all the plugins including Akismet were turneed off and I forgot to activate them. Hence, the increased spam. But, after I activated it again, everything is back to normal.
Sayali: I like this design because it is simpler and cleaner. The old design had too much stuff and looked cluttered. After seeing the webpage like this a few times, hopefully you’ll start liking it.
I guess when I saw it, the plugins were off hence my previous thoughts! Its fairly simple now.
