Ah, at last! An opportunity to vent!! With all the trouble they are in, and definitely will get into more of, I want to say--talk about payback, Citibank!! When I moved to NY, I had opened a Citibank account. Being freshie, and without a job, I obviously had a low balance. Apparently that was a flag for Citi customer service to treat me like a pariah. Contrastingly, a friend and her husband with a FANtASTIC (read millions $) balance always had a very pleasant experience with them. After yet another false charge and fee, one more rude, condescending customer service, I closed my account and changed banks. With very pleasant results. I was not asked why I am closing my account, but I did make a point to let them know. Not that they cared. So yes, I wholeheartedly agree with you and say Citibank does, indeed, agreeably suck! And to Citibank: what goes around, comes around. Turns out, they are in worst state financially and morally than I ever was when I had first opened my account with them. Now they are the ones being doled out, from money of tax payers like me. You Beggars!
